Multicultural Outreach Associate

Raquel is a dynamic and meticulous communications professional with more than 15 years of experience crafting corporate and institutional communication strategies. Since emigrating to the U.S. from Venezuela nine years ago, her work has been focused on bilingual communications and outreach, reflecting her passion for bridging cultural divides.

Raquel comes to CIG with a background in broadcast news and production, including entertainment programs and PSAs. Her work in this area earned her an Emmy nomination from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Heartland Chapter in 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she shifted her work to focus on public health and communication strategies to reach Hispanic communities needing access to vaccine benefits.

Raquel is deeply passionate about helping her community, serving as a steadfast advocate for the underserved and a vital connection for migrants and individuals seeking access to resources. As an immigrant who graduated from Santa María University in Venezuela and studied English as a Second Language at Bellevue College in Washington, she remains committed to promoting language inclusion and ensuring Hispanic communities have access to high-quality Spanish communication.
