Aidan Gaffney

Associate

Aidan moved to Denver from Tacoma, Washington, seeking new experiences and an opportunity in the public relations industry. Shortly after relocating, he joined CIG, where he has thrived — contributing his writing, strategic thinking and marketing skills as a valued member of the team.

Aidan graduated from Western Washington University, where he combined his passion for sports with his education by writing for the university’s student-run publication on the sports beat and gaining hands-on experience as an intern under the athletic communications director.

Driven by his firsthand experience with the harmful effects of traffic violence, Aidan takes pride in leading and supporting various Colorado Department of Transportation traffic safety campaigns. These initiatives, including Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety, Click It or Ticket and Winter Wise, aim to make the transportation system safer for all Colorado road users. Other CIG projects he supports include CDOT’s automated camera-based speed enforcement program and CDOT On-Air, an integrated marketing campaign that highlights the untold stories of the Division of Maintenance and Operations through a captivating video series. He has also gained valuable experience working on the Denver International Airport’s Great Hall Program and Bustang Outrider.

Recognized by his colleagues for his strong writing skills, meticulous attention to detail and eagerness to learn new things, Aidan embraces challenging or unfamiliar environments. He understands that his growth benefits both his team and clients. Outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball, golfing, skiing, camping and cooking or grilling for friends.
