The Challenge
The Westin Denver Downtown was looking for fun ways to engage the community and draw attention to its on-point pool deck as a destination for local events and entertainment. The hotel needed an opportunity to highlight its health and wellness pillars while showcasing the rooftop’s view of Denver’s signature skyline.
Our Solution
Our CIG Events team brought together like-minded local businesses for this unique, pop-up fitness class.
Partnering with barre3 Cherry Creek, a popular studio workout that combines ballet, Pilates and yoga, The Westin Denver Downtown hosted a free barre3 fitness class on its rooftop pool deck, followed by a 3-mile run led by RunWESTIN™ and Denver’s bRUNch running club, and finishing with healthy snacks from the Westin’s SuperFoodsRX™ menu back at the pool.
To further elevate the event, CIG brought in Boulder Running Company, New Balance and RXBAR to provide goodies for guests and contribute prizes for a raffle.
The Results
The event reached capacity within days, drawing nearly 75 fitness fanatics from the Mile High City, who not only got to experience barre3’s unique workout, they were introduced to the hotel’s wellness programs available to travelers across the country any time they stay at a Westin property. This first-ever event was a major success and proved to be mutually beneficial for the hotel and its partners to promote healthy living, gain access to new client networks and create a sense of community.
